By no means is handing out a nail file sexist. Men and women both use nail files for good hand hygiene, unless they're nail biters.

A salesman's goal is to build relationship! Here in the Pacific Northwest that is done through honest, informal, conversation. These light hearted give a ways are used to break the ice, not seal the deal.

In truth I felt a little weird using them as hand outs at first myself. But in 2nd and 3rd visits to a company I am often asked for more nail files by the front desk staff.

Good luck to you in all your endeavors!

Yikes, that's either super sexist or you're super open-minded and think all front-desk folks, either men or women, want nail files. Hmm, I think I'd be offended either way.
